We're delighted to welcome another new local producer this week, as Coombeshead Farm join the Food Hubs! Set amongst 66 acres of meadows, woodland and oak-lined streams in Lewannick near Launceston, the farm is also home to a bakery created by chefs Tom Adams and April Bloomfield.
We're pleased to now be offering their popular country sourdough loaf. A mixture of white and wholegrain wheat is mixed with rye, emmer and a young sourdough starter to make this loaf, giving it a balanced acidity and chewy, almost porridge-like crumb. What could be better with local butter and Tamar Valley honey!
